THE SOON TO BE FALLING ROCKS

This picture shows how the cliff is gradually eroding and the old volcanic rocks are cracking and falling off.  I would not want to be below this cliff when these boulders decided to give away. You can see the falling rock sign below the cliff.  If you look closely you can see a face in the rocks. Maybe a Hawaiian god that you don't want to get mad!

THE SPECTACULAR VIEW

This is the spectacular view from just above the rock cliff shown in the picture above.  This is at the top of the 1000 ft cliff. You can see the Dillingham Airfield below.  Right in the center of the picture is the parking lot you park in to begin the hike.  You can also see the old dirt road which leads to the trail head (runs from near the center of photo to the lower right hand corner.

VIEW OF WAIALUA AND THE NORTH SHORE

Looking to the north east toward the northern most point of Oahu, Kahuku Point.  The area where land turns toward the left is Haleiwa.  The famous "pipeline" is between Haleiwa and Kahuku Point.

DILLINGHAM AIR GLIDERS

Air Gliders are a frequent side around the Dillingham Air Field.  Many tourist come to this area to get beautiful views of the North Shore.  In this picture a plane is pulling the glider to altitude before release into the wild blue "gray in the case" yonder.

OLD QUARRY

The water fills an old rock quarry which was closed several years ago.  The quarry is now filled and used as an aquatic farm.  The trailers and buildings next to the "water hole" is associated with the aquatic farm.
