THE STAIRS There are several stairs on the trail to help get past the eroded areas. The stairs are a great benefit if there is rain because the ground consists of clay which becomes slick as ice when wet.

ONLY DIAMOND HEAD HAS ANY SUN Diamond Head really stands out in this picture because everything else is in the shade of clouds. Misty rain clouds I might add.
