VIEW OF KOKO CRATER

As one moves up the trail one can get excellent views of Koko Crater.  The little bay just to the indent in the ocean just to the right of the crater is Haunama Bay (famous for snorkeling).  Hawaii Kai is the development seen below the crater.

VIEW OF KOKO HEAD

Turning slightly right to the south brings into view Koko Head.  The development at the base of Koko Head is Port Lock.

VIEW OF DIAMOND HEAD

Diamond Head finally comes into full view.  This view of Diamond Head is not familiar to most tourist because they view it from the north west.   This is a view from the east.

THE VEGETATION

One can see the Norfolk Pines along with the ferns that appear along the upper part of the trail.  The Kuliouou subdivision is hidden behind the trees.
