FLAG MARKS SUMMIT Somebody made a small make shift flag to mark there climb to the summit. The flag was the first thing I saw when I made the clearing near the summit.

THE ACTUAL MT. OLYMPUS PEAK The Mt. Olympus summit is actually the next peak. The views, however, are very poor because of the high vegetation. The small summit before Mt. Olympus is normally where most people end their hike.

SOCKED IN I stayed on the summit for 1 hour but the majority of the time it was socked in preventing any views. I was able to take some pictures but they are not the greatest because of the fog. This is a view looking toward Kaneohe.

KAAU CRATER At the upper end of Palolo Valley is a small volcanic crater named Kaau Crater. The crater has a small swamp in side covered with vegetation. The swamp drains out via a small waterfall which is on the other side of the crater.
|
VIEW OF KOKO HEAD At the end of the cloud is a view of Koko Head. Unfortunately half of the crater is covered by the cloud. When ever you go to the summit you never know if it will be socked in before you get there.

VIEW OF OLOMANA Looking through the fog one can see the three peaks of Olomana. I had to wait an hour just to get a view half way decent.
