THE LIGHT HOUSE

There is a small viewing area where you can look down onto the light house.  There are stairs that lead down to the light house but the light house itself is fenced off.

 


 

RABBIT ISLAND

From this angle the rabbit is almost swimming directly toward us.  This is a perfect area for also viewing whales in the winter months.   The humpback whale breads in the Hawaiian waters.

 


 

LOOKING SOUTH FROM THE PLATFORM

Looking south one can see the paved road which winds down the hill side.  If you look closely you can see several people walking on the paved road.

 


 

LOOKING BACK TOWARD THE "PILL BOX"

Looking back one can see the "pill box" which had the spectacular view of the Koolau Mountains and Koko Head Crater.  The trail coming down from the "pill box' is not defined very well.

 


 

LOOKING DOWN THE CLIFF AT THE OCEAN

Looking down the cliff at the ocean below.  The cliffs are very dangerous.  Many tourists have tried climbing down them and have fallen to their death.
