THE STEEP CLIMB IS ABOUT TO BEGIN

One can see the steep climb ahead.  Some of the climb ahead is aided by stairs and ropes.  Much of the trail is badly eroded and very hard to climb if wet.  I am standing directly below an electric pole and the wires you see are the guide wires.

LOOKING AT DIAMOND HEAD

Looking over the ferns toward the back of Diamond Head.  The ferns are pretty but they will scratch your legs up unless you were high socks.

AINA HAINA

This is a better view of Aina Haina.  There is a trail which lead from the top end of Aina Haina to the pine trees in the upper end of the valley.  A geocache is hidden there named "Pine-ing for a View"
